The 5th Biennial Water For People Gala will be hosted by NEWEA and NEWWA on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the New England Aquarium in Boston. Please join us for a night of music, dancing, speakers, and fun. Although Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday, we have a lot to celebrate and even more to support in the 11 countries that Water For People now operates in. With your help, we’ve raised over $215,000 for Water For People since our first gala in 2004. In that time, Water For People has grown to become a recognized leader of water and sanitation development. Even during the economic downturn, Water For People grew over 90% from 2008 to 2010.
Come to celebrate what we’ve been able to accomplish and support the work that continues. If you have any questions or would like to talk about sponsorship opportunities, please fill out the sponsorship form or contact either of the Gala Co-chairs listed below.

The Global Water Crisis
Around the world, 884 million people do not have access to safe drinking water and 2.5 billion are without adequate sanitation facilities. Every day, nearly 6,000 people who share our planet die from water-related illnesses, and the vast majority are children.
How Water For People Addresses the Crisis
Our unique model encompasses using only appropriate technologies, continually monitoring our work, establishing partnerships to engage local entities, requiring the community and partners to financially invest in solutions, and leveraging the private sector to play a catalytic role in solving development challenges.
